Bom Dia! It is the day before New Years Eve. I feel the excitement for tomorrow evening here in Rio. Last night we watched the sunset on top of Sugar Loaf Mountain. It was one of the most spectacular sights I´ve seen to date. From the distance to my right I saw Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado glowing white with its artificial light. Quite a surreal vision. From my left I saw the Copacabana and Ipanema - and beyond, the sprawling city all lit up surrounded by mountains. I thought I was dreaming.
Today we are off to Ipanema to catch some more sun and people watch. Ciao.

OK. I was a little tipsy off some sake last night when I last posted. This is our last night in Salvador - Bahia, Brazil. We are flying to Rio de Janeiro tomorrow! I can´t believe it. I never thought I´d be in Rio for New Years Eve this soon. I´ve always wondered how it would be seeing Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Mountain from Ipanema Beach. I guess I´ll find out tomorrow!
Right now we are waiting for our friends to get back from the old city of Pellerinho here in Salvador. They are serious shoppers and the rest of us decided to chill in the hotel. We are going to stroll down to this beach side open air bar to have a few drinks while we wait for them. The bar is on top of a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It is really a beautiful sight to see, especially at sunset. I will try to post once I get to Rio. Ciao.

Hi guys! It´s 2:00 am in the morning here in Salvador, Brazil and I am REALLY toasty from some sakes I drank at the Japanese restaurant here. It had been a wonderful trip so far and I am sorry to say that it is half way over. But I have Rio de Janiero to look forward to in a few days and then back to Sao Paulo. We spent Christmas Eve in a small town called Olinda, off of Recife on the north eastern coast of Brasil. We spent the afternoon of Christmas Eve at the beach. We flew to Salvador on Christmas Day and spent it in the colonial area of the city called Pellerinho. Christmas if quite different here. Aside from the hot weather, it is less commercial as it is in the states. It is more family oriented - as it should be. Although I am spending Christmas away from my family in a foreign land. Pretty ironic. However, I am with good friends - and that is an extension of family.
I cannot get over how nice the people are in Brazil. I went clothes shopping today and the sales girl gave me a Brazilian kiss on both cheeks after she wrang me up. Wow! Can you imagine that happening in New York City? I think not.
OK, it is past my bedtime and people are giving me strange looks in the hotel lobby as I type this at 2:00am in the morning. Time for bed. Good night. Ciao Ciao.

Wassup y'all. I'm writing this from sunny (although it's pouring out right now) São Paulo. It is our last night here before we fly to Recife tomorrow afternoon. It has been a great time so far. I am currently in a cafe now in the Jardins area. We went through the Japanese markets in Liberdade today. I will try to post more blogs while in Brazil, but I cannot promise anything. We will be in smaller towns for the next few days. And the Rio de Janiero for New Years! Ciao Ciao!

Hey. It's been an eventful coupel of weeks. Seems I've been living at Smart Bar because all my favorite DJ's seem to be playing there lately. SuperJane was awesome on the night before Thanksgiving. I had such a great time. I couldn't believe I was standing right in front of Heather and Colette. Wow. I love how you can just hang out by the DJ booth at Smart Bar.
Last Saturday I went to see Kaskade do his thing at Smart Bar. I got his autograph on my "It's You, It's Me" CD. I was so excited. He is definately one of my biggest musical idols. It's comforting to know that someone has made it from your town who used to go to all the places you went too and were into the same things you were into when you were growing up (I know, run on - it's bad, but I don't care about proper grammar on my blog).
I will more than likely see Chris Cox at Hydrate tomorrow night. Checking out these DJ's is good research and investment for me. It helps me perfect my trade. Catch y'all later.
